I'm an Industrial Designer from the National University of Colombia and I recently did a CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) from the University of Cambridge. Besides that teaching I sing and write as a hobby.

I'm currently teaching at La Salle University in the Engineering faculty and in the Language Centre.

Besides that, I teach English at the Beit Sefer Shekinah (my community's school). I'm also teaching Pre-basic Hebrew to some fellow friends at my Sinagogue. (I don't charge for the latest of course)

The main reason for me to learn hebrew is because I really want to be able to read and understand the bible much better, and because I want to become a Chazan.

I'm already allowed to sing a few prayers each Shabbath, but I'd really like to do that for a living, as well as, being better capacitated in order to teach hebrew in a better way at my community.

I'd also like to teache hebrew to my nieces and future nephews and own children. I want them all to read, write and speak hebrew (lashon hakodesh). One of my nieces loves hebrew just as much as I do.

Thanks for this great opportunity. It will be of great benefit for my family, my community and my own plans and dreams.

Prayer is an important part of my relationship with G_D. When praying at Temple, even though I am able to follow the service, it has been a source of disappointment that I am not reading, pronouncing, nor understanding. This will give me tool to accomplish this. Thank you:-)

G-d, through Torah, has taught me that I am part of Israel. He has given me a determination to defend Israel through His power and through prayer. He has placed on my heart a desire to serve Israel by serving the IDF (http://dover.idf.il/IDF/English/). Before I go, I'd like to have a grasp of Hebrew so I can communicate with my brothers and sisters. I have started learning the Alef Bet using Instant Hebrew (http://www.instanthebrew.com) and have felt the joy of being able to pronounce the basic building blocks of our Holy language. May G-d continue to bless your endeavors as you work to bless the nations.

I'm waiting for your course of Hebrew. I'm glad that I can be part of first group of students during this course because Hebrew is amazing for me and I'd like to learn it very well.

I am a grandmother of 8 that used to speak enough Hebrew to get by well enough in Israel. I also taught beginning Hebrew, but for many years I have not used it at all and have forgotten most of it. I want to learn again and I want to teach my grandchildren Hebrew! My weakest point was always book print. All of the scrolly letter sometimes confuse me because I learned by writing, not reading. This course should be a great new beginning.

Thank You for the opportunity!
